Our Commitment
Orchyx is committed to making Earth 2.0 accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to participate in the digital civilization we're building, regardless of ability.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and continuously work to improve the accessibility of our platform.
Accessibility Features
Earth 2.0 includes the following accessibility features:
Visual
High Contrast Mode
Dark theme with sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
Scalable Text
Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
No Color-Only Information
Information is not conveyed by color alone; icons and text labels are used
Focus Indicators
Visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation
Auditory
Text Alternatives
All audio content has text transcripts or captions available
No Auto-Playing Audio
Media does not auto-play; users control when audio begins
Motor
Full Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Space, Arrow keys)
Large Touch Targets
Interactive elements are at least 44x44 pixels for easier touch interaction
No Time Limits
Users are not required to complete tasks within strict time limits
Skip Links
Skip navigation links allow users to jump directly to main content

Consistent Navigation
Navigation patterns are consistent throughout the application
Clear Language
Content is written in plain language; technical jargon is explained
Error Prevention
Forms include validation and clear error messages to help users correct mistakes
Reduced Motion Option
Respects prefers-reduced-motion for users sensitive to animations
Screen Reader Compatibility
Earth 2.0 is designed to work with popular screen readers:

We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading structure to ensure screen readers can accurately convey page content and navigation.
AI Agent Accessibility
Our AI agents are designed with accessibility in mind:
- Text-based interactions work fully with screen readers
- Agents can provide responses in simplified language upon request
- Conversation history is fully accessible and searchable
- Voice input may be available depending on your browser capabilities
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are working to address them:
- 3D Globe: The interactive globe on the homepage may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide an alternative text description and are exploring better solutions.
- Some Third-Party Content: Content from external sources may not meet our accessibility standards.
- PDF Documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these.

We aim to conform to the following standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Section 508 - US federal accessibility requirements
- EN 301 549 - European accessibility standard
Testing
Our accessibility testing includes:
- Automated testing with tools like axe, Lighthouse, and WAVE

- Screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver)
- User testing with people with disabilities
- Regular accessibility audits
